StudentsImpact: View Response #36

1.What did you learn about new teaching and learning practices (such as blended learning (face to face and E-learning), more than one instructor, European Instructors, remote lab (if working),…)?

-Blended learning: some of the material was presented in class while other material was supplied through the website portal with scheduled quizzes and examinations.
-We were exposed to several instructors' explanations of different materials using different approaches

2.What new links have you built with other students and universities in Europe (during visits to Europe or having European Instructors)?

I talked to my european instructors' and inquired about what they look for in a masters student and what type of student they would like to be doing research with

3.Do you think that MUREE (course and/or visits to EU) has provided you with extra career potential? If yes, how?

Yes. It exposed us to a different approaches both in learning and culture. I believe that, through that, it improved my adaptability to different environments and different teaching systems which would serve to better my career prospects.

4.What new skills and competencies did you obtain through the use of the labs? (if applicable).

NA

5.Please feel free to tell us about your experiences, and please give specific examples if possible.

In my visit to the EU there were a lot of unexpected developments including the cancelation of our hotel reservation by the time we got there. That among other things improved the way I deal with unforeseen circumstances.
Furthermore, I believe that seeing the way tasks are delegated in the EU gave me a better idea of how I like to both manage and work on any future projects I'm involved in.
